Details

The KAS Regional Programme Gulf States and the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies (KFCRIS) are jointly organising a half-day workshop. The workshop aims to explore how Germany's domestic political dynamics intersect with its foreign engagement.

It will focus on how shifts in public attitudes, governments and party politics impact Germany's foreign policy choices. The workshop will specifically look at three areas of interest: Germany’s foreign and security policy, its policy-making in the field of climate and energy, and its international development and humanitarian assistance. In all these areas, a closer analysis explaining the inter-linkages between domestic and foreign affairs and the policy outcomes it produces is warranted.

The workshop will engage policy-makers as well as distinguished experts from Saudi-Arabia with renowned analysts and politicians from Germany.
