The CDU/CSU parliamentary group of the German Federal Parliament has published a new position paper outlining future cooperation between Germany and the African continent in various policy areas.

This paper acknowledges that the future development of African countries will have a substantial influence on the future of Europe and Germany. This realization is becoming increasingly prevalent in Germany in key policy areas such as foreign and security policy, economic policy, domestic policy, and development policy, and this makes it extremely important that Germany actively and strategically realigns their policy towards developments on the African continent.

With this position paper, the CDU/CSU parliamentary group in the German Federal Parliament sets the framework for more intensive political exchange across the mentioned policy areas, thereby initiating an urgently needed course correction. It wants to set clear, strategic priorities that contribute to greater stability, growth, prosperity and promote peace.
