Considering the rising prevalence and influence of social media in almost everyone’s life, influencers are capable of shaping the public opinion of a wide audience.
Therefore, they shall be strategically used to spread politically relevant information, for instance, raising awareness for upcoming parliamentary elections and encouraging democratic participation among their diverse followers. Moreover, since the reach of Social Media Influencers is wide, they are able to both motivate and represent all segments of community, which, for instance, effectively addresses the need of youth voices in electoral processes.
