Leadership skill acquisition has been taken for granted in the civil service to come with the promotion and level of attainment. It has become necessary to train civil servants to acquire necessary leadership skills in order to lead, coordinate and manage their colleagues and staff especially in the period of crises and disasters as witnessed during the Covid-19 emergency. Apart from leadership skills needed during emergency, the coordination with other stakeholders in the management of emergency shall be of importance, and emphasis shall be placed on the causes and effects of interagency rivalry between and among such agencies in Nigeria and FCT in particular. The seminar is part of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung’s support to democracy, rule of law and good governance in Nigeria.
