Nordic-German roundtable: "Innovation for sustainable and resilient regions"
From Oct. 6 to 8, 2021, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation Regional Programme Nordic Countries hosted a roundtable discussion about "innovation for sustainable and resilient regions" in Mariehamn on the Åland Islands. We discussed common political, economic, legal, and financial issues that affect our participants who are directly involved in implementing sustainability measures in their regions and how innovative approaches could potentially solve them.
The topics addressed were:
- Climate neutrality and the low-carbon transition
- Circular (bio)economy
- Digitalization
- Good governance
Additionally, we wanted to get to know the Åland Islands and gain a better understanding of their approach to regional development.
Read about the results in the final report that can be downloaded on this website.
