Change at the top by January 1st 2010
Confirmed in their posts were Prof. Dr. Norbert Lammert, the deputy chairman of the Bundestag, and the Professor of International Politics, Beate Neuss. Newly elected as vice-chairman was Johanna Wanka, chairman of the CDU Brandenburg. The former vice-chairman Anton Pfeifer had decided not to run again for that office, but continue to remain on the board. Franz Schoser was confirmed as treasurer.
Newly elected to the board were Michael Mertes, and Peter Hintze, previously co-opted board member.
