The social media – Twitter, Facebook etc – has emerged to become more
than a passing fad but a permanent fixture of internet users. News is increasingly broken through this medium, the furor of revolution disseminated through this public access channel and marketers have also embraced the technology as a means of promotion.
Asia too has embraced the phenomenon. According to checkfacebook.com
as of April Indonesia has the second highest number of registered and
active Facebook users with over 35 million members, second only in the
world after the United States. Included in the top 10 rankings are also the Philippines, India respectively with over 22 million users. Indonesia has also reported one of the highest numbers of Twitter users, with 20.8 percent of internet users in Indonesia visiting twitter.com
This seminar is aimed as a session for sharing ideas on how ANN members
