We are in the midst of a fast evolving digital environment. To adapt and develop is a must. Thus, continuous training is of utmost importance. This workshop will be an opportunity for young legal professionals to learn, an opportunity for them to strive and succeed eventually in their journey.
"Lawyers of Tomorrow" is a legal conference created for young and motivated jurists. It will take place at 09:00 AM on the 9th of February at the Hilton Metropolitan, Beirut, Lebanon.
This event is organized by the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) Rule of Law Programme Middle East and North Africa (MENA), in cooperation with the Lebanon Law Review (LLR).
This conference will consist of two panel discussions and two workshops, successively.
First panel: Advertising for lawyers and the role of the Beirut Bar Association 👩⚖️
- Me. Marwan Jabre - Council member of the Beirut Bar Association (BBA) and partner at Nouhad Jabre Law firm.
- Attorney Ahmad El Naggar - Managing partner of El Naggar & partners and founder of both the "UAE jurist network" and the "UAE legal network".
Second Panel: Free speech v. Hate speech in the digital age 💻
- Pres. Najat Abu Chakra - Investigative Judge at the Military court of Lebanon.
- Attorney Helen Tung - UK Barrister, Arbitrator, mediator and founder of NewSpace2060, an advisory service for NewSpace startups and investors.
In the afternoon, two workshops will take place. One will tackle "Marketing Tools for Legal Professionals", presented by Mr. Michel Bassil, content executive at Leo Burnett. Followed by "Legal Research: Digital Tools & Methodologies", presented by Me. Issam Amro, L.L.M, legal director at LLR.
