The first Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Konrad Adenauer, loved the extraordinary beauty of this northern Italian lake district and choose Villa La Collina as his holiday home and deputy chancellery for several weeks a year. We are happy to offer you the possibility of a private stay either in the historical Villa La Collina or in the Accademia Konrad Adenauer.

In contrast to the classic hotel business, we try to combine the extraordinary history and the generous nature of the property with the ambience of a private guesthouse and to fuse the Italian “Dolce Vita” with the German organisation and reliability into a special overall experience.

The 34 rooms in total are splitted between the historical villa on the hill and the Accademia Konrad Adenauer at the foot of the hill in the spacious park of the estate. All rooms in the Accademia Konrad Adenauer are bright and tastefully furnished and have their own bathroom with shower/WC & hairdryer, air conditioning, room safe, telephone, and free Wifi. The rooms of the historical villa are furnished in the style of Konrad Adenauer's time and are equipped with a ceiling fan instead of air conditioning for aesthetic reasons. These rooms also have their own bathroom with shower and/or bathtub, WC and hair dryer, room safe, telephone, and free Wifi.

Since Villa La Collina today is an international meeting place of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and welcomes many guests from all over the world, and since communication between guests is desired and supported, the rooms are deliberately equipped without TV sets (of course, TV sets are available for use in public rooms).

The 27.000 sqm large and spacious park invites you to relax and the garden swimming pool offers in the months from April to October the possibility of refreshment with a breathtaking view of Bellagio. You are also welcome to try Konrad Adenauer's favourite sport on the two boccia courts at the Accademia and have an aperitif in the shade of the pavilions before a delicious Italian dinner is served in the evening.
