Details
The commemoration will take place on Wednesday, January 24th from 12h30 to 14h30 at the Representation of the State of Hessen to the EU on Rue Montoyer 21, 1000 Bruxelles.
A keynote speech will be delivered by European Commission Vice-President Margaritis Schinas.
The remarks will be followed by a conversation between:
Dani Dayan, Yad Vashem Chairman
Katharina von Schnurbein, European Commission Coordinator for combating antisemitism and promoting Jewish life in Europe
Yohan Benizri, World Jewish Congress Executive Board Member
The theme of the commemoration will be Holocaust Denial and Distortion. A light lunch will be served. The “Flashes of Memory” Yad Vashem Exhibition will be displayed during the event, connecting current antisemitism and the manipulation on social media.
