Green economy development pathway would have economic, environmental and social benefits in the medium to long term in Africa. Entrepreneurial ecosystem described as the conditions that help to bring people together and foster economic prosperity and wealth creation while preserving the environment is nowadays seen as an important key for green economy. Many young start-ups within West Africa are facing several issues such as ensuring products quality, governmental facilitations (for e.g. tax regulation, access to credit, policy, etc.) for their deployment and green growth. However, enabling ecosystem to a green economy will not happen automatically. It needs to be facilitated by various enabling conditions, including policy reforms, government incentives, regulations, quality standards and capacity development. Programm
WACEE will be mostly half day program and in the afternoon plenary sessions will take place. In the afternoon of Wednesday 6 November, the focus will be on circular economy (E-waste, etc.); on Thursday 7 November in the afternoon, it is planned KAS plenary session on energy plus circular economy, and the next day, November 7 will be on water and environment. Besides, a KAS booth will be set at the WACEE for exhibition.
