An interim review of the European migration and refugee policy
The debate about the European migration and refugee policy shows no signs ofcoming to an end, neither at the EU level nor within the member states, although,the migration figures have dramatically decreased, the administrative chaos is resolvedand humanitarian emergencies are overcome. Where does the EU stand now? Whatis the strategy of the EU three years after the migration and refugee crisis? What arethe current and future challenges and is the EU prepared for them? This paper explains the global context and analyses the existing system – with a focus on the most recentreforms.
