The Need for Quality and Sustainability
Local Journalism in Africa faces many challenges, including the lack of recognition by the public and increasing financial constraints. These are a threat to the sustainability of local journalism - a critical element of media across the world.
Despite these constraints, local journalism on the African continent is alive and kicking, and is what drives many media houses. KAS Media Africa is bringing together experts on local journalism from across the continent and from germany to share their experiences and ideas about how to move forward in an ever-evolving media world, while encouraging the search for quality.
