Anlässlich des diesjährigen „Forums Emerging Leaders in Asian Journalism“ traf sich der Vorstand der „Society of Asian Journalists“ (SAJ) auf Einladung des KAS Medienprogramms im August in Peking. Der neue Verband mit Sitz in den Philippinen rekrutiert sich aus den Alumni des „Konrad Adenauer Asian Center for Journalism“ (ACFJ) an der Universität Ateneo de Manila. Zum Gründungspräsidenten der SAJ wählten die Teilnehmer Edi Utama, leitender Redakteur der indonesischen Nachrichtenagentur Antara.
