Details
As part of the numerous recommendations made in the series of workshops conducted for the State Houses of Assembly in 2020, the capacity building for Clerks and legislative aides came out as a major one in attempting to support and promote democratic institutions in Nigeria. On this note, KAS and NILDS will be bringing the staff of the assembly together to improve their capacity, which will be put to use even when the current set of legislators are changed by the next general election. This is a good way of promoting and sustaining one of the main bastions of democracy which has been hitherto neglected in Nigeria. The seminar is part of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung’s support to democracy, rule of law and good governance in Nigeria.
