Interagency Collaboration and Cooperation between Security Agencies and Citizens in the South-South Zone

Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) is collaborating with Nigeria’s House of Representatives’ Committee on Army and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) is organizing a seminar for heads of security agencies and leaders of civil society groups in three pilot states, Bayelsa, Delta and Rivers for the South-South zone of Nigeria. The theme of the seminar is to promote collaboration among security agencies and cooperation between security agencies and civilian citizens.
The seminar aims at evaluating the progress made towards strengthening collaborative initiatives between security personnel and civilian citizens. Furthermore, the seminar will also discuss current security challenges in the region with a view to propose steps that will strengthen collaboration among security agencies and civilian citizens in tackling insecurity in the zone. The seminar is part of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung’s support to the Security Sector Reform in Nigeria.
