Seminar on Promoting Cooperation Between Personnel of Security Agencies and Civilian Citizens: For Heads of Agencies and Leaders of Civil Society at Zonal/State Levels (North-East Zone)
Support to the SSR
Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) in cooperation with Nigeria’s House of Representatives’ Committee on Army and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) is organizing a seminar for heads of security agencies and leaders of civil society groups in the North-East geo-political zone. The seminar aims at promoting collaboration among security agencies and between security agencies and civilian citizens.
This seminar would be the last of the three seminars that KAS would organize for the above mentioned stakeholders in 2021. The seminar aims at evaluating the progress made and the challenges regarding effective collaboration among state and non-state security actors in the zone. Also, the seminar would proffer suggestions toward the implementation of collaborative efforts among stakeholders. The seminar is part of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung’s support to the Security Sector Reform in Nigeria. This program is funded by the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.
