In order to achieve the mandate of the newly created Service Innovation Department and Divisions in the federal civil service to improve on the services and embrace innovations, a capacity building workshop is necessary. This will equip the staff with requisite skills and knowledge needed to achieve their goals and objectives. At this workshop, innovation experts and consultants will be brought to offer their expert views, opinions and recommendations on ways the Service Innovation Departments can improve on the service delivery in the ministries, departments and agencies in line with global best practices. Amongst topics to be covered are Service Innovation Department (SID): An Assessment of Performance and Success in MDAs; Developing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Service Innovation Department (SID) across the MDAs; Collection, Analysis and Evaluation of Data/Information for Strategic Decisions on Service Innovation; From Cost Centers to Revenue Earners – Perception Shift for MDAs; Sustenance of the Innovation Challenge/Competition in the MDAs; Role of Private Sectors in Sustaining Public/Civil Service Innovation; The Role of Performance Management System in the Civil Service; and Data in Report Writing.
