This retreat aims at giving the members’ in-depth knowledge of the principles and practice of parliamentary oversight, overview, rationale and implementation realities of the Nigerian correctional service Act, as well as knowledge of the administration of the criminal justice system among others. Furthermore, the retreat would expand the platform for cross fertilization of ideas on areas of further assistance from KAS’ institutional support and partnerships for promoting interagency collaboration among security agencies and cooperation between security agencies and civilian citizens, while embedding lessons learned and uptake pathways for increased assistance to Nigeria’s security sector reform. The retreat is part of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung’s support to the Security Sector Reform in Nigeria. This program is funded by the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.
