KAS Scholars Policy and Engagement Program

Regional Policy for Sustainable Development in Nepal

From April 2–4, 2025, KAS Scholars will take part in an immersive program in Pokhara, Nepal, focusing on regional environmental policy, leadership, and sustainability. The initiative includes field visits to Phewa Lake and Pokhara University, where scholars will examine watershed management, sustainable tourism, and community-led conservation efforts.

In addition, scholars will partake in a "Communicating Green Initiatives Policy" workshop, designed to enhance their skills in advocacy, storytelling, and policy engagement, with a particular focus on regional environmental challenges. Students will collaborate in group work and present their findings, deepening their understanding of sustainable development practices.

This program aims to inspire KAS Scholars to engage with and shape environmental policies both regionally and globally.
