Political Leadership Excellence Program (PLEP) Brussels Field Trip
Political Leadership Excellence Program (PLEP) 2024, organized by Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Türkiye and EDAM, is coming to an end with our visit to Brussels. After a year of training on important areas of politics, PLEP participants met with distinguished politicians, diplomats and experts at the European Parliament, the Embassies of the Republic of Turkey and civil society representatives in Brussels and exchanged ideas on current issues on Türkiye-European Union Relations and Türkiye-Germany relations. The importance of Türkiye-EU relations, the future of relations, the foreign policy of the European Union, modernization of the customs union, visa facilitation, migration, security, green transformation were among the prominent topics. As part of the program, NATO headquarters was visited to discuss Türkiye's role in NATO, the war between Ukraine and Russia and NATO's perspective on various security events around the world. A comprehensive briefing was given on NATO's activities, future perspectives and contributions of member states. After the program, which was held in 4 modules throughout 2024, certificates were presented to the participants. We wish PLEP 2024 participants further success in their professional lives. We look forward to our 2025 program.
