Government loses support, Sweden Democrats make gains

The Kristersson government has been in office for a year with the support of the right-wing nationalist Sweden Democrats under the Tidö-Agreement.

Swedish politics is facing major challenges, particularly in terms of security policy. The country is being rocked by a wave of violence and accession to NATO is still pending. While the government parties are losing support, the Sweden Democrats can benefit from their role between government and opposition.
