KAS in cooperation with the Faculty of Law "Iustinianus Primus" and Municipality of Novo Selo on 16 May 2023 in Novo Selo organizes a one-day training for the municipality administration. Within the framework of this training, the Study and the Handbook on Integrity in the Municipality of Novo Selo, which were created within the framework of the second phase of the project “Creating a European Municipality: Integrity Policy for 0 corruption”, will be also promoted.

Creating a European Municipality of Novo Selo

The project aims to contribute to the further improvement of integrity and improving the compliance with the legal principles in the municipality.

In the recent months, experts from the Faculty of Law conducted multi-layered research on the normative and practical aspects of the work of the Municipality of Novo Selo, on the basis of which they prepared a study and a handbook containing concrete recommendations for the further improvement of transparency and accountability of this unit of the local self-government in the country.

The event will be opened by Daniel Braun, Official representative of Konrad Adenauer Foundation, Sasho Georgievski, Dean of Faculty of Law “Iustinianus Primus” – Skopje and Gjorgje Bozinov, Mayor of the Municipality of Novo Selo.

The training will be conducted by the expert from the Faculty of Law, Professor Aleksandar Spasenovski. As part of the training, Stefan Andonovski, Member of the Council of the City of Skopje, will also give his presentation.

As in the past, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation together with its partners will continue to implement a wide range of activities in the spirit of further democratization of the state.
