Isabel Weininger

Isabel Marie Weininger has been working in international cooperation at the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) since 2017 and has been representing the desk officer position Human Resources Abroad since May 2023. From January 2020 to May 2023, she was responsible for the Southeast Asia region (KAS foreign offices in Indonesia/East Timor, Cambodia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam) as a desk officer in the Asia and Pacific Department. During this time, she was the office manager for KAS in Cambodia for nine months (2021) and then the acting head of the Asia and Pacific Department in Berlin for seven months (2022). Before that, she worked for two years as a project assistant and deputy office manager at the KAS Ukraine foreign office in Kyiv and one year for the Munich Security Conference in Munich. Isabel Weininger studied political science, international law and international relations in Munich, Paris and Dresden. Her expertise is in the field of European, development and security policy. She is also involved in promoting women in foreign and security policy at WIIS.de.
