Dr. Michael Rimmel

Dr. Michael Rimmel (born 21.02.1979 in Munich) has been Head of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation's office in Israel since August 2024. From 2018 to 2024, he was head of the executive branch and the board office at the headquarters of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Berlin. Previously, Michael Rimmel was a senior advisor to the President of the Bundestag and deputy head of the President's Office from 2012 to 2018. From 2009 to 2011, he headed the parliamentary office of Prof. Dr. Norbert Lammert. Michael Rimmel took part in the International Parliamentary Fellowship of the German Bundestag in 2009 and in the German-Israeli Young Leaders Exchange of the Bertelsmann Stiftung in 2015. He holds both a bachelor's and a master's degree in political science from his studies at the Freie University of Berlin and Tel Aviv University. Michael Rimmel completed his doctorate at the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences from the University of Potsdam.
