Dr. Norbert Eschborn
Designated Head KAS Croatia-Slovenia
Dr. Norbert Eschborn is the designated head of the KAS Croatia-Slovenia office. Between 2019 and 2024, he was the founding director of KAS in Canada. Since 1997, he has represented the Foundation as head of its offices in Thailand, Indonesia and East Timor, Korea and Myanmar. From 2006 to 2011, he served as head of the Evaluation Unit in the European and International Cooperation Department, where he was largely responsible for the advancement of project management. He studied political science, modern history and Romance languages and literature and can look back on almost ten years of freelance journalism. Dr. Eschborn began his professional career as a research assistant in the German Bundestag and as a private secretary to the state chairman of the CDU in Rhineland-Palatinate.
