Soumy Phan

Mr. Soumy Phan holds a Bachelor of Arts from the Human Resource University in Cambodia. Before joining Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Cambodia, he was a freelance journalist and researcher based in Phnom Penh, reporting primarily in English for international news outlets including the Australian Associated Press, the Deutsche Presse-Agentur (DPA), the Schweizer Radio und Fernsehen (SRF) and Arte. Prior to that, he worked as a reporter for the former English language newspaper The Cambodia Daily, for which he reported on the subjects of socio-economic, environmental and drug-related issues. In addition to his studies at university, Soumy attended various journalism-related training in South Korea and Germany.
