Dr. Stefanie Brinkel
Resident Representative Côte d‘Ivoire, Director Regional Programme Political Dialogue in West Africa
Dr. Stefanie Brinkel has been the head of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung office in Côte d'Ivoire and the director of the West Africa Political Dialogue Regional Program since September 2021. Prior to this, she served as an advisor in the Sub-Saharan Africa Department from October 2018, where she was responsible for Central Africa, Nigeria, and programs related to climate and energy as well as "A World Without Hunger" (EWoH) in Sub-Saharan Africa. Before that, she worked in the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung office in Tanzania.
Dr. Brinkel studied business administration at the universities of Halle-Wittenberg and La Réunion, earning her doctorate with summa cum laude for her work on greenhouse gas management. She was a scholarship holder in the talent promotion program of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (2012-2015). Additionally, she worked as a research assistant at the Chair of Environmental Management at the University of Halle-Wittenberg (2008-2014) and as a visiting lecturer at the University of Economics in Bratislava (2010-2012).
