Multilevel Governance of the Amazon

This research analyzes the complexity of multilevel governance in the Amazon at a time when the liberal world order and the multilateralism that sustains it are facing a crisis. For this reason, we have carried out a broad reflection on this problem at a global, regional and national levels.

In this order of ideas, the publication includes three sections. The first presents an interpretive framework on multilevel environmental governance, the mitigation of deterioration, climate change and the risks and threats that the Amazon faces for its conservation.

The second gathers reflections on the risks, threats and threats faced by multilevel governance for the conservation of the Amazon at the global and regional levels.

Finally, the third section deals with the successes and failures that Brazil, Peru and Colombia have had in the face of the challenges posed by the protection and conservation of the Amazon region.

The book is a collective work in which authors from Brazil, Peru and Colombia participate. All of them provide an interdisciplinary perspective on said problem from various professional fields.
