The team "Inlandsprogramme" of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation accompanies and complements the work of more than 80 KAS offices abroad through visits and training program in Germany. Every year, 60 programs of study and dialogue are conducted for high-ranking political personalities, members of the academy and society from partner countries.
The party and parliamentary dialogue is presented as the main objective of these dialogue and study program. The priorities of this Latin American energy experts workshop are climate, environmental and energy issues.
The foreign delegation, invited by the Regional Program Energy Security and Climate Change in Latin America (EKLA-KAS), will meet in Berlin with partners of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, representatives from the public and private sectors as well as academics.
After visiting Germany, the delegation's participation at COP21 and side events is expected. In the first two weeks of December more than 190 nations will meet again at 2015 Paris Climate Conference to discuss the next steps in the international climate policy. This conference will be of central importance to the adoption of a new international climate agreement in succession to the Kyoto Protocol.
In the context of the COP 21, the Regional Program EKLA-KAS and the KAS Office in France organize discussions for enhanced dialogue between Europe and Latin America on energy and climate policy.
