The meeting aimed to address the issues and progress of the 5 policy papers that are in the development phase of each working group, namely:
• Environmental problems in the Southern Cone subregion
• Environmental problems in the Caribbean subregion
• Environmental problems in the Amazon subregion
• Environmental problems in the Andean subregion
• Environmental problems in the Transversal subregion
In addition, we have begun to schedule our first face-to-face meeting to be held in Leticia, Colombia, in early June 2022.
This project aims to emphasize the importance of creating and maintaining an environmental safety net in Latin America (LATAM). Where food and energy security issues are also the basis for discussion and socio-environmental and economic concerns for the sustainable development of the region.
