Africa is experiencing unprecedented climate change phenomenathat are likely to lead to a crisis of human survival and nationaldevelopment unless urgent steps are taken to curtail humanbehaviour impelling climate change. While Africa has notcontributed significantly to climate change, the continentremains highly vulnerable to frequent extreme weather eventssuch as floods and droughts.
