Still known as Europe's problem child in the time of the financial crisis, Greece has since developed into a solid pillar of stability in the eastern Mediterranean. Despite the corona pandemic and the energy crisis, the country now enjoys economic growth above the EU average. The economic reforms and the digitalisation of the state seem to be working and this is also going down well with the Greeks. The government of Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis was only confirmed in the parliamentary elections in June with just under 40% of the vote. Greece also has a special role to play in EU migration and asylum policy and in the enlargement process of the European Union. In every respect, Greece is a different country today than it was 10 years ago.
Together we would therefore like to discuss Greek-German relations and Greece's role in Europe. We look forward to welcoming you to our Forum at the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (Tiergartenstrasse 35, 10785 Berlin).
Admission from 17:00.
