We believe that to achieve these goals, it is especially important that the youth gets involved and makes a difference. For this reason, we offer three types of Youth Academies:
Journalists’ Academies
These will take place throughout the year and are meant for young and aspiring journalists that are keen to learn more about different aspects of the field and to network with like-minded people. In the past, trainers and participants have come from Germany to join the Jordanian participants and learn from each other.
Foreign Policy Academies
In the Foreign Policy Academies, students and young professionals are invited to learn and discuss Jordan’s foreign policy challenges, regional security and international relations. With a range of high-ranking speakers and experts and plenty of time for discussions, analyses and presentation, participants in the past not only have learned a lot and increased their skills, but also had fun and made new friends.
Young Voices in Political Parties
In these workshops, selected groups of young party members are taught how to build up a program and strategy for their party and how to get more involved in party politics as a young person. With prominent speakers and engaging trainers, the participants increase their skills while also building up a useful network for their work.
If you are interested in getting involved and applying for one of the academies, please contact bayan.al-halawani@kas.de who will be able to give you more information or direct you towards the person responsible.
