My name is Bunny Sereivathna or our colleagues call me Jenn. I obtained my bachelor degree at Royal University of Phnom Penh majoring in International Relations and at Royal University of Law and Economics majoring in Law. Here is the journey of my internship with KAS Cambodia.

KAS is my dream workplace and after joining, I am immensely grateful for making the great decision to join this dream team. I was given the opportunity to do the internship in October 2021 but because I was a student of two universities, I didn't have time to do the internship full time. Fortunately, KAS is understanding and reschedule my internship to August 2022 instead. I think I joined here at the right time because it gave me the opportunity to participate in many ongoing programs, especially our flagship programs such as Waste Summit, KAS Horizon, KAS for Legal Youth (KASFLY), KAS Political Festival, and the 21st Annual Law Talk.

As a student of two degrees, my biggest fear is that it would be almost impossible to have the opportunity to do a job that allows me to focus on my degrees, but here with KAS, they make it possible. I look forward to coming to work every day, knowing that I am helping to make a difference in the community through my work here.

KAS really raises my bar in the working environment. Everyone is an open-minded person that is open to creativity and pushes you to be the best version of yourself. I have enhanced my project management skill on ongoing and future projects as well as the closure of past projects by monitoring the internal evaluations, composing reports, invitation letters, and preparing general arrangements. I have also worked on many interesting topics in international relations, law and sustainability. Additionally, the thing that is really new to me is publication skill where I assisted on proofreading, analyzing, visualization, and researching on flagship publications such as Digital Insight and Diplomatic Briefing.

The team at KAS Cambodia makes me feel like home. Everyone is helpful and looks out for each other. I can rely on my colleagues if I need any guidance or advice professionally and personally. Besides, I was able to meet a wide range of KAS’s partners in all objectives. I have learnt how to communicate with them professionally as well as gotten a chance to learn more about their organizations. This is not my first time working but it’s definitely my favorite time working here.
