The KAS Political Education Academy (KASPEA)

The Political Empowerment Academy (PEA) seeks to enhance political participation of young people in Cambodia with the aim to empower them to be the driving force for a positive social change and to be the next generation of political, governmental, and civil society leaders for the country. To this end, the academy is particularly seeking to attract the participation from Cambodian young people who are keen in engaging in the field of politics and sociality.

The KAS-For Legal Youth (KASFLY)

To support young ambitious Cambodians in the legal sector of the kingdom, Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS) Cambodia set up the KAS-For Legal Youth (KASFLY).

The network will connect a group of high-potential law students and young professionals with legal experts and support the development of professional and personal skills that are crucial for their future endeavors in the legal sector. Only 15 qualified applicants will be selected to  be the member of KAS-FLY each year and follow its program throughout the year.

The Young Journalists Traineeship Program

The media sector and journalism play a crucial role in promoting democracy and bringing together an inclusive society in which every voice is heard. Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Cambodia (KAS) in partnership with the Department of Media and Communication (DMC) of the Royal University of Phnom Penh is offering six traineeship opportunities for DMC students to work at renowned newsrooms in Phnom Penh. This program aims at giving practical platform for students to explore and strengthen their skills in journalism in addition to the department’s internship program.

Female students are especially encouraged to apply.

The KAS School for Young Politicians (KASYP)

The Konrad Adenauer School for Young Politicians (KASYP) programme was conceptualised and first implemented in 2010. The programme is designed to strengthen political parties in Asia and to develop a cadre of accountable and responsible young political leaders.

Why Political Parties?

  • Perform the important function of selecting political candidates, forming government leadership, representing civic interests and   developing the national agenda.

  • A highly organised political party, with clear ideologies and values would be able to effectively link the state and society.

  • Along with the main aim to strengthen political parties in Asia, the trainings are planned to:

  • Enhance participant's knowledge of political theories, concepts

  • Impart political skills in leadership and communication

  • Provide project planning and management workshops with our in-house trainer to execute political projects in their respective parties/constituencies over the course of the first year of the programme

The Colloquium aims to improve the quality of research findings through a feedback mechanism.

KAS Horizon

KAS Horizon is a training program, which equips its participants with relevant social, communicative and technical skills to contribute in the long-term to fruitful and constructive dialogue between Europe and Asia. This program is designed to provide beyond the studies insights into the potential working environment.
