Due to different experiences and points of view, the communication between the generations can be difficult at times. However, both sides can learn a lot from each other and profit from a shared knowledge and a mutual dialogue. This is especially important when it comes to joined efforts in tackling social problems and challenges like GBV or the discrimination of women. Before this background, the Namibian NGO House of Women and the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Namibia-Angola invited five panelists as well as numerous representatives of the Namibian Civil Society in order to discuss this important topic and find possible solution approaches.
The overall topic of the importance of communication proved to be a perfect opportunity to also introduce the new KAS and House of Women publication on the "10th Namibian Women Summit: Delegates and Speakers", which summarises the participants of the 10th Namibian Women Summit from 2016 up and introduces them in detail. The publication therefore aims to be a powerful networking tool that will help the women to stay in touch, establish strong ties and cooperations and, through that, support and foster female participation on an economical and political level.
The publication is freely available at the KAS office.
