The film shows the meeting of leading representatives of the Nazi regime from the SS, Reich Chancellery, ministries, police and administration on the morning of January 20, 1942 in a villa at the Großer Wannsee in Berlin. The meeting to which Reinhard Heydrich, head of the Reich Security Main Office, Security Police and SD, had invited as a "meeting followed by breakfast" will subsequently be marked in history as the "Wannsee Conference". The sole topic on the agenda that morning was what the Nazis called the "Final Solution to the Jewish Question": the organization of the systematic mass murder of millions of Jews throughout Europe. The film gives the viewer an insight into the shocking 'normality' that is displayed during the meeting while procedures, organization and coordination, as well as the responsibilities for the murder of millions of people are discussed as if it was an everyday administrative act.
The film is based on the original minutes of the Wannsee Conference, recorded by Adolf Eichmann, which is considered a key document of the extermination of the Jews and the Holocaust. However, these minutes are not a word for word report, but merely a progress and results log.
At the opening the audience will be saluted with video address by Prof. Dr. Norbert Lammert, Chairman of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and Former President of the German Bundestag. Official addresses will be given by Daniel Braun, Official Representative of Konrad Adenauer Foundation Office North Macedonia, Goran Sadikarijo, CEO of the Holocaust Fund of the Jews from Macedonia, Katrin Ostwald-Richter, Head of Goethe-Institut Skopje, Pepo Levi, President of the Jewish Community in the Republic of Macedonia and Otto Graf, Deputy Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in North Macedonia.
