This week began the Environmental Sustainability Workshop: How to integrate the environmental vision in my business strategy, developed by Sumarse, thanks to funding from the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Foundation.

The workshop seeks to provide tools and generate the exchange of good practices for a better control of the use of natural resources that contribute to minimize the impact of potential activities on the environment and promote a balance between the environment, society and the business economy.  

"Many companies could be impacted by the decline in biodiversity and increasing scarcity of raw materials, leading to disruptions in the supply chain. However, their ability to be aware of the potential impacts of their activities and the value and importance of protecting ecosystems as providers of essential services will ensure sustainability and business success," said Krystel Zapata, project coordinator at Sumarse.

Karol King, Environmental Management Engineer, who facilitates this space, states that "convergent actions are important to avoid increasing our negative impacts on natural resources, which is leading different companies to rethink, to reinvent themselves, to change life, because it is true that science dazzles us, but reengineering changes us".

The workshop is designed to be developed in three (3) theoretical and practical sessions, where the first session will address business management and biodiversity, as well as national and international environmental legislation; followed by a subsequent workshop on business eco-efficiency and circular economy.

Participating companies will have the opportunity to draw up a business management matrix, where they will have individual consulting sessions with the support of the consultant.
