The International Office Romania of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung offers internships to students in Bucharest. In this way, we want to offer the opportunity to get to know our international work on site for 6-8 weeks at a time and to work on our projects. 

What do we offer?

You will get an insight into the workings of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung and thus into a German political foundation. You will get to know our project work in the field of political education, party cooperation, foreign and security policy, energy, innovation and digital policy as well as in the field of sustainability. You will learn more about the planning, implementation and documentation of events (project management). Your knowledge of political and social developments in Romania will be deepened. You will also gain an insight into European policy issues.  You will help with background research and analyses on current topics and learn to write political reports. You will support us in public relations and press work and learn more about working on the internet and social media. We issue a detailed internship certificate. Internships can be paid with an allowance of 450 EUR gross/month. 

What do we expect?

The working language in the office is German. You should have a conversational level of German. If you do not speak German, you should have an excellent command of English or Romanian. You should have completed at least two semesters of undergraduate studies. You should already have some experience abroad, as you will have to deal with everyday life in Bucharest yourself (finding a room, using public transport, meals, etc.).  You should definitely be interested in political contexts and be aware that the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung represents Christian Democratic basic convictions and also works in particular with EPP parties. Special knowledge of Romanian politics, society and economy is an advantage.  As we are a small team, we expect personal responsibility, team orientation and commitment, which includes, for example, participation in evening and weekend events. You have good skills in common office applications and are familiar with social media applications. Previous relevant work experience is a plus. Applicants must have an EU residence permit that allows them to stay in Romania.
