Background
There is a large and diverse community of Afghan-German and German-speaking Afghans in Kabul whose networking has not been coordinated in recent years. In response to a request from the network, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation office took over the coordination and revival of a Afghan-German Roundtable in 2019.
The Afghan-German Roundtable is a monthly, casual and informal meeting to maintain the Afghan-German community in Kabul and its connection to the German Embassy. Its purpose is to get to know each other and to exchange ideas on general topics of German-Afghan relations. Political topics are not in the foreground, but are not taboo either.
