As the publication is a result of the action research collected during the workshop series, it presents diverse perspectives on the topic of decentralization and local administration both in Thailand and abroad. Through this process, it outlines five distinct models of provincial self-governance and gubernatorial election procedures. The readers will not only learn about these models, accompanied by analyses of the pros and cons of each, but also gain understanding of the different viewpoints held by the public and local stakeholders regarding decentralization. Equipped with this knowledge, target readers, who are mainly political actors, would be sensitized to the demand of provincial-level governance models and seek to represent the needs of their constituents.
