Scholarship Announcement
Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) or Konrad Adenauer Foundation is a non-profit organization from the Federal Republic of Germany named after the first chancellor Konrad Adenauer. It has headquarters and education centers in Germany as well as more than 100 offices around the world. KAS seeks to advance peace, freedom, and prosperity in Thailand by supporting democracy, the rule of law, the social market economy, and cooperation between Thailand, Germany, and the European Union.
KAS has been working in Thailand since the 1980’s with cooperation partners in government, civil society, educational institutions, business, and the media who share our values to:

Strengthen the parliamentary system and constitutional government;

Encourage decentralization, dialogue, and citizen participation in government decision-making at all levels;

Promote economic growth, social justice, and environmental protection; and
-
Support cooperation between Thailand, Germany, and the European Union.
In 2021, KAS launched a scholarship program called “Konrad Adenauer Scholarship for Social and Innovative Development (KASSID)” for those who are interested in pursuing a Master's degree or currently studying a Master's degree at an educational institution in Thailand.
The Foundation's goal is to:

Promote the education of young academics, expecting them to shoulder responsibility for the state and society; and

Promote intercultural dialogues as well as the formation of international networks.
Please apply for the KASSID scholarship starting in August 2023, if:
-
You are interested in pursuing a Master's degree in any fields or currently studying in the second academic year of a Master's degree at an educational institution in Thailand;
-
You are 30 years old in August 2023 or younger;
-
You are already engaged in your community through voluntary work for other people and your society;
-
You have a positive attitude towards citizen participation in government, public policy-making process, and international network and dialogues; and
-
You will not receive any scholarship from other organizations during your Master program.
Opportunities:
-
The scholarship is worth 15,000 Baht per month for a duration of 1 academic year;
-
If the studying period is more than 1 year, KAS may consider renewing the scholarship individually for a total amount of 24 months maximum;
-
Scholarship recipients will be invited to participate in academic activities with KAS during the time of the scholarship and beyond;

Scholarship recipients are expected to participate in two KASSID workshops during the year; and
-
Scholarship recipients will later become KAS Alumni, and be part of a worldwide KAS Alumni network.
