The publications/library department documents the history and development of the Christian democratic movement. The Publications section presents research results on various aspects of this topic including the „Forschungen und Quellen zur Zeitgeschichte“ (Research and sources on contemporary history)“, series, the academic journal „Historisch-Politische Mitteilungen“ (Historical/political communications) as well as commercial publications.
The collection at the modern, scientific and publicly accessible library with its focus on history, politics, programmatic and personalities of Christian democracy is unique throughout Germany and Europe. Publications on history and politics, philosophy and theology, political and legal sciences as well as social and economic sciences are also collected and made publicly available.
