Community Context and Disaster Risk Reduction

The publication by Chiang Mai University’s two academic centres – Urban Design and Environmental Studies Centre and Social Research Institute – will provide target readers, which consist of local government officials, community leaders, and citizens, knowledge and practical global case studies to be applied with local contexts. Moreover, the publication will act as one of media tools to increase public awareness in disaster risk reduction and to demonstrate a science-policy platform for the public policies as well as local practicality that derived from democratic decision-making value.
