Courtesy Visits to ANC and KANU Political Parties
On Monday 1st November and Tuesday 2nd November, led by Dr. Stefan Friedrich, KAS Head of Africa and Dr. Annette Schwandner, KAS Kenya Country Director, the KAS team paid a visit to our partner political parties -Amani National Congress and KANU.
During the visit to Amani National Congress (ANC), the KAS team met with the party leader Hon. Musalia Mudavadi who was accompanied by the Secretary General Simon Gikuru and the ICT, Digitization, Membership recruitment and Programs officer Mr. Nathaniel Mong’are. Discussions specifically focused on the existing partnership and future cooperation to strengthen democracy.
During the visit to Kenya African National Union (KANU), the delegation met with the party’s ExecutiveDirector Mr. George Wainaina, the Deputy National Organising Secretary – Programs Mr. Joshua Aluoch and Mr. Tom Ojanga. The discussions focused on existing partnership, the ongoing progress and challenges by parties to strengthen political topics and democracy in general in Kenya.
