Disinformation is evolving, and artificial intelligence is accelerating its spread. With AI-generated disinformation identified as the world’s leading global risk by the World Economic Forum, urgent solutions are needed.
The Konrad Adenauer Stiftung’s Media Programme for Sub-Saharan Africa has therefore commissioned a study on AI-generated disinformation in Africa and Europe. Authored by experts Karen Allen (South Africa) and Dr. Christopher Nehring (Germany), this study analyses key actors and goals based on concrete examples, and presents measures against disinformation, listing concrete recommendations for countermeasures.
The study will be presented in Berlin on 17 February 2025 at the Academy of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung and in Brussels on 19 February 2025 at the KAS Office Brussels. Both sessions will include expert discussions, Q&A opportunities, and networking sessions.
These crucial conversations on safeguarding democracy in the digital age will bring together key stakeholders to explore solutions, foster collaboration, and strengthen global efforts against AI-driven disinformation.
