The European Academy of Diplomacy, Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the Faculty of Political Science of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin organise a joint-conference, titled "Building New Central Europe: The Visegrad States and Germany". The conference will be held under Honorary Patronage of Mr. Sławomir Sosnowski, Marshal of the Lublin Voivodeship and Mr. Krzysztof Żak, President of the Lublin City.
The event will take place on 16th January, 10:00-17:00 at Marie Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin.
The opening lecture „A Europe Whole and Free: Unravelling Before Our Very Eyes?” will be presented by the guest of honour, Mr. Roland Freudenstein, Director of the Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies.
The conference is devoted to the policies of the Visegard Group and Germany in relation to current events and challenges that must be overcome within the region of Central Europe. This includes shaping common response to Europe’s refugee crisis, the challenges faced by up-coming democracies and energy security.
