KAS Media Africa will be supporting the fifth Africa Check Fellows Programme for Francophone journalists initiative by Africa Check. The intensive 12-day programme in Dakar equips the fellows with the knowledge, skills and tools to find accurate and credible information, identify. The fellows are given an opportunity to get in-depth fact-checking training, practical experience and insight into operating a fact-checking organisation. The fellowship programme plays a major role in fostering the practice of nonpartisan fact-checking across the African continent.
Across Africa, individuals make decisions everyday which impact these decisions impact human rights, development issues, business and daily life. Whether they are civil society, policymakers or the public, people make decisions on the information available to them. But often, that information could be misleading or wrong.
