Gathering distinguished academics, constitutional court judges, Members of Parliament and representatives of the executive branch of power from the region, the event will focus on the challenges that applicant countries will face in terms of constitutional and institutional adjustments on the way to European Union membership. It aims to shed light on the three topics of constitutional challenges that lay ahead for the countries:
- Addressing EU Integration in the Constitution: General Questions and Specific Matters
- Legitimacy through Participation: the Role of National Parliaments
- Defining "Constitutional Tolerance": the Role of Constitutional Courts
